GDPR Statement
I adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into effect on 25th May 2018. This means that any data that I hold, including my session notes and any contact information will be stored securely. I make brief anonymous session notes and these are stored on a password protected secure computer and remain separate from your personal details which are kept in a locked filing cabinet.
All data remains protected and confidential except in the event of possible harm to self or others and as required by current law. I would endeavour to inform you in advance if I were to break confidentiality for any reason. After work ends, I will delete all personal contact details, though I am required to hold a copy of client notes for up to seven years for insurance purposes. It is your legal right to request these notes if you should need to.
If for any reason I become incapacitated and unable to work your contact details will be passed onto my supervisor so they can contact you and make suitable arrangements.
